Hello Terry,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Thanks also for identifying the fabric as PVC. We have the original repair kit which shows 2 types of materials (including names like Hypalon, and Neoprene) and we see that the new models boast a fabric called Hytex. Yes, Polymarine are just down the road from us here in North Wales.

Have attached some pics of the boat in use over the last 7 years. This year we completed the whole of the River Thames from upstream of Lechlade, down to Teddington Lock, all in the Excel dinghy!

We bought it from you at the NEC Boat and Caravan Show in early 2004, and it is serving us very well.

Best wishes, Owain and Alvina Williams. 8th Aug 2011.

Hello Terry,

I don't know if you remember me, I'm Paul from Greece, I bought an SD330 air deck a couple years ago from you and I'd like to congratulate you for your execellent work there. The little boat is super!!!!  When you have the time,I would like you to send me an offer about the following accesories (total cost-delivery+v.a.t included in euros):

2 aluminum seats(SD330), not leasure seats, the plain seats for the boat(unfortunatelly we lost them).
2 Seat Storage Bags (SD330) with Cushion(Grey).

I'm looking forward to hearing from you and I promise this year to send you some photos from our vacations with the sd330 to upload them to your site.

Thanx in advance, Paul. 10th June 2011.

Our second season with our Excel XHD430 has convinced us that our choice for this boat  was the best. Two months of boating in Corsican waters have given even more confidence to our judgement.

I am particularly pleased on the choice of the package “ XHD430 - Evinrude 25 ETEC” for the Captain and passengers. Getting on the plane with 8 people on board is easy and sailing in a choppy sea is not a problem at all. I do these comments because of my great experience of all sorts of inflatable boats in any condition! But what is even more astonishing is the incredible sobriety of the pair XHD430 and ETEC 25hp.

Now my Evinrude dealer has recommended me to configure my engine for a 0.5% oil mix! Which I will do with the use of the proper oil. We have now winterized our boat and our engine and stored it but we already feel this need to launch it again.

Best regards, Noël L. France

Terry,

As discussed today I wanted to formally thank you for the fantastic service you offered in the purchase and fast delivery to Moraira, Spain for my SD330. The quality of the product is superb and it has performed well with a 9.9hp Mariner outboard I have acquired in Spain.

The boat got a lot of good comments on its quality and finish from friends and I would recommend the craft to anyone considering a new inflatable.
Thanks again.

Terry,

Thanks again for your help. I wish to say how happy I am with my SD230. I find it well made very portable and sturdy all at a very competitive price.

I am enclosing two photos of my SD230 tethered to my 40 foot tri, which as you know I sailed across the Atlantic to Newport, Road Island in 2005.

Warm Regards, Brian Gitt. Warwick, New York.

"Just a quick note to let you know how pleased we are with our Excel 230 that we purchased from you in September 2006. She, "Tuuli Too", has seen many hours of active service with absolutely no issues whatsoever. In fact many people have said "Nice new tender!" which is testimony to the fact that even after she gets filthy, a quick wash and hose down brings her up like new. We have of course recommended you to anyone who asks and some who haven't!"

Jamie Moir, Hants.

To whom it may concern at Excel Boats:

I bought a 3m inflatable with a 5HP engine and extras (bow canopy) I have to say it was refreshing to buy from such a friendly, trusting and efficient organisation. The service I received was second to none and the process of buying was an enjoyable one. From the moment I picked up the phone there was always a can do attitude with lots of advise on what I really needed. After sales were superb and sent me items that I had damaged without a question. As far as the boat goes it is a great piece of kit that has entertained my two young children (and me!!), it is stable and the engine very reliable and great value for money. WELL DONE TO YOU ALL

Stephen.

Hello Terry,

I received my boat today. Thank you for you very rapid delivery. It is very nice and the first sea trial with my old Yamaha Malta was ok. Have you tried to use 4 stroke 2,5 Suzuki with this boat? How did it work? My boat will be used mainly as a tender in our 32 ft sailing boat –tours are limited to maximum couple hundred of meters or so.

Considering the space inside the boat the 2,6 version could have been ideal choice – however this boat is very light and outer dimensions are as tiny as I thought so we have very good possibility to lift it on the front deck and still have enough space for spinnaker handling etc.

Best regards.

Olli - Finland.
